We built ChatFox Coffee Chats so that you as a team member have the ability to connect at a meaningful level with colleagues across your organization in order to build new professional relationships. This is an interesting feature as it does not really mimic any of the in-office behaviors. Unless you have a very proactive HR team it is more likely that you network and socialize with your team or department. Most people are not wondering over to that obscure set of cubicles in the corner for an impromptu conversation. Mainly because it is awkward, but also because it is assumed that they have work to do…hopefully.
ChatFox Coffee Chats do something even more powerful, they build new professional relationships across your organization with a defined process that limits, if not eliminates, the awkwardness. Coffee Chats randomly selects up to three individuals in your ChatFox channel that have availability at the same time.
How It Works:
During setup, your admin will be asked to choose a day for Coffee Chats. The default day is Wednesday, but your team can choose any day of the week. On the selected day after 9am your time (whatever time is set as your default on Slack), you will see a notification on the ChatFox App located at the bottom of the sidebar under Apps.
When you click on the ChatFox App you will see the request to schedule a Coffee Chat. Everyone on your team will receive the same request at 9am on their time zone. You can choose to participate in that day’s Coffee Chat by selecting “Pick a Time”. If you do not have time that day select “No Thanks”.
By picking multiple times you have a higher likelihood of being paired with someone as it is not guaranteed that other people have the same availability as you.
Once you have selected the times that you are available ChatFox will get to work finding someone else in your organization that is available at that time. You will be notified when we have found a time and paired you with somebody else. At the time of your Coffee Chat you will get a notification from ChatFox.
We will soon be launching profile pages for Coffee Chat attendees so that you can see a history of your team member’s interactions with ChatFox. Reviewing responses to Icebreakers and Shout Outs will be plenty to get a conversation started.
ChatFox is a Slack chatbot that builds remote team culture. Remote teams that only engage through projects, tasks, and deadlines do not foster a culture around shared values and goals. Build a strong remote team culture, improve remote team productivity, and eliminate team member isolation. Use ChatFox Icebreakers to build rapport with team members, use ChatFox Coffee Chats to have meaningful conversations with people across your organization, or use ChatFox Shout Outs to recommend a colleague and endorse their skills. Unlike other remote team solutions, ChatFox looks at remote team culture from a strategic perspective and has created engaging chats for your team that provide management with insights into remote team engagement, skills, contributions, and mobility.chatfoxCoffee Chatshow it workshow totraining
